logo files

SVG, PNG, EPS, AI, PDF—if your head spins trying to remember which format does what, you're not alone. But understanding logo file formats is essential for presenting your brand professionally everywhere.

Quick Reference Guide

Vector Formats (The Master Files)

  • SVG – Best for websites and digital use. Scales perfectly, small file size.
  • EPS/AI – Print industry standard. Required for merchandise, signage, and professional printing.

Raster Formats (Digital Use)

  • PNG – With transparency for websites, presentations, and digital overlays.
  • JPG – Compressed format for email signatures and documents where transparency isn't needed.

The Golden Rule

Always start with vector. You can convert vector to raster, but you can't go the other way. If you only have a JPG or PNG, you don't have a usable master file.
